Sock ribbing larger DPNs?
I've run across a basic sock pattern (crew sock type) that recommends using DPNs 2 sizes larger for the ribbing above the ankle than for the rest of the sock. I have very slender ankles and calves, so I'm inclined to ignore this and use the same size DPN (maintaining correct guage, of course) for the rbbing so my socks don't puddle at the ankles.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hmm...I've never heard of using two sizes of DPNs for socks before. It should be fine with the smaller ones. I've never had trouble with the ribbing being too tight before.
