super chunky yarn
I have a pattern for a lapghan which I want to knit for my disabled neighbor. It calls for jiffy thick and quick which I have heard is hard to work with. Can anyone recommend a machine washable super chunky yarn?

In my experience Jiffy was not hard to work with at all~ but Mohair like yarns (like Jiffy) can feel kind of fuzzy to your hands after awhile.. in mye experience..
BTW: Hobby lobby, Michaels, Joann's and Wallie-world ALL sell chunky yarns..
Look on the label on the back and look for size 5 or 6 ( 6 is superbulky)

Going to check the stores out. Would like to get a self striping. I think Joanne's has a sale on homespun and jiffy thick and quick. Thanks for your input. Gloria
