Hi I've just discovered this thread. If you're on the list how long do you have to complete your part of the afghan and how many rows do you have to do? Oh and do your rows all have to be in the color and pattern?

nadja, I believe you get to knit 3 inches, any stitch and any color that you like. You have up to two weeks to work on it and pass it to the next person.

I apologize, Nadja...I should have put this information at the top of the thread.

Oddball Blanket Knitters receive the blanket at their home address, then they have TWO WEEKS to complete their portion of the blanket. Each knitter knits for 3 inches on the 300 stitch blanket, using any washable worsted weight yarn in their stash. When they complete their knitting, they contact Shandeh (me) who will tell them where to send it next.

So far, each knitter has sent a few fun items along with the blanket, as a way to introduce themself to the next person. It's fun!

When the blanket is complete, it will be given to charity.

I am so down with this. I don't want to start my own long term project right now because of how may little projects I hae going, but helping out on a huge blanket like this would be awesome!

That, and it should be a lot of fun to do while catching up with my BattleStar Gallactica.
