yarn type
What is fingerling yarn? And also is it okay to use casmere blend yarns to knit baby stuff?

Maybe this will help:
Standard Yarn Weight System

The only thing I would say about what yarn to use for baby clothing is that it be washable. Baby clothing requires LOTS of washing for various reasons and if has to be handwashed it probably won't get worn much if at all. It also needs to be soft and probably not to fuzzy like angora.
