This means that for 20 skeins of yarn I will be getting them for approx. $3.29 each (including shipping). Which is pretty cool. My main question is, the sock yarn is 162 yards each skein. I am getting 4 skeins, so 648 yards. I would assume this is more than enough for a pair of sock. Am I correct? Do you think I could get two pairs of socks for 648 yards?
I've ordered from Smileys a while back and I remember that they took a bit longer than I'd like (of course more than 2 hours is longer than I'd like) but it wasn't so long that I wouldn't recommend them.

i shop smiley's all the time (the brick and morter store)
the calzetteria yarn is a bit heavier than most sock yarns, and some colors feel less smooth (its a dye/finish thing that washes away with the first washing.
i have made socks with just 2 balls.. but sometimes i wish i had a bit more.. (i like 5 balls for 2 pairs) (i wear size 9/www shoes, so i do have big feet)
I would suggest a toe up for the first pair, so you can see how it works out.
on my blog, i have a link to sock album in photogallery,
Red Hot Mama's
Child's french sock (from Vintage knitting)
Turkish sock (slipper sock)
Sock for swap
were all made with Calzetteria..
(and others, i am sure that i just can't remember!)
and i still have a dozen or so more balls of the yarn. (in the store it sometimes goes on sale for $2!)
I've purchased from them and I am very happy with their service. I just wish they did not have a minimum purchase requirement or I'd be ordering more often from them.
