Booga bag question

I'm just about done with a booga bag - do you think that an i-cord cast off would work with this pattern? I'm not sure if it would be too thick or interfere with the i-cord handle.

I think it would be fine - I've made several Rick Rack purses that use the i-cord bind off. It does create a thicker top, but very strudy!

This is the Rick Rack Purse - it is a pattern I purchased from Knit Picks and have made 6 of (in one form or another).

The i-cord bind off is shown at the bottom of the page here. It is a very time consuming bind off, but adds a great detail - it looks like an i-cord stitched onto the top of the bag, but you actually make it while you bind off.
