need help
hi, I am knitting this socks
http://www.geocities.com/destashing/...ns/102701.html
ANKLE SOCKS

These socks are quick to knit and require a very small quantity of yarn. Their cuffs, heels and toes are made in garther stitch. They are the second pair of socks I ever knitted and my first sock design.

Size: Woman shoe size 5-6 (7-8, 9-10, 11-12)

Materials:

25 to 50 gr of fingering weight yarn (I used 25 gr of Bernat Baby Soft to knit two size 5-6 socks)

1 set of 4 double pointed needles, size 2.75 mm

Gauge: 7 sts = 1" in stock. st. on 2.75 mm needles

Stitches used:

stockinette stitch = knit all rounds

garther stitch = knit 1 rnd, purl 1 rnd or knit all rows

Ankle:

Cast on 44 (48, 52, 56) sts loosely. Place a marker between the 1st and 2nd sts on the 1st needle to indicate the beginning of the round.

Divide the sts to have 14 (16, 18, 20 sts on 1st needle, 16 (18, 20, 22) sts on 2nd needle and 14 (16, 18, 20) sts on 3rd needle.

Work 12 (12, 14, 14) rnds in garther st.

Work next 8 (10, 12, 14) rdns in stock. st.

Heel Flap:

Rearrange sts to have 11 (12,13,14) sts on 1st needle, 22 (24, 26, 28) sts on 2nd needle and 11 (12, 13, 14) sts on 3rd needle.

Knit 33 (36, 39, 42) sts. Turn.
( when i reach here get problems, in countting, may be there is mistake in this pattern)

Work sts on 2nd needles (back and forth) in garther st for 22 (24, 26, 28) rows.

Turn Heel:

Row 1: k5, sl1, k1, psso, knit to last 7 sts, k2tog, k5.

Row 2 and alt rows: knit all sts.

Repeat these 2 rows until they are 14 (14, 16, 16) sts remaining on the second needle, finishing with row 2.

Instep:

With the space needle, pick up 14 (15, 16, 17) sts on the edge of the heel flap. For a clean finish pick sts in the knitted rows, not the purling ones.

Knit sts on the 3rd and 1st needles.

Pick up 13 (14, 15, 16) sts on the edge of the heel flap. For a clean finish pick sts in the knitted rows, not the purling ones.

Knit to end of the round. Total: 64 (68, 74, 78) sts.

Instep Decrease:

Rearrange sts to have 21 (22, 24, 25) sts on 1st needle, 22 (24, 26, 28) sts on 2nd needle and 21 (22, 24, 25) sts on 3rd needle.

Rnd 1: knit to last 3 sts of 1st needle, k2tog, k1. Knit all sts on 2nd needle. On 3rd needle, k1, sl1, k1, psso, knit remaining sts.

Repeat this row 9 (9, 11, 11) more times. Total: 44 (48, 52, 56) sts.

Foot:

Rearrange sts to have 11 (12,13,14) sts on 1st needle, 22 (24, 26, 28) sts on 2nd needle and 11 (12, 13, 14) sts on 3rd needle.

Work 32 (36, 40, 44) rnds in stock. st.

Toe Shaping:

Rnd 1: purl to last 3 sts of 1st needle, p2tog, p1. On 2nd needle, p1, p2tog, purl to last 3 sts, p2tog, p1. On 3rd needle, p1, p2tog, purl remaining sts.

Rnd 2: knit all sts.

Repeat these 2 rnds until 20 (20, 20, 24) sts remain, finishing with rnd 2.

Cast off on the outside using the "three needles bind-off" technique. It looks like a row of purl sts and is not visible at all.

Of course you have to knit another sock!
please help me. xxx

Syeda, I'd love to help, but can you tell me what part of the pattern you don't understand?
