Wow! It really does stretch lots! It looked so small when I finished... good to know...

Nice bag, candicane. And that is one rough looking cat.

SandraEllen,

I'm about to try the Turkish Cast On. Does the pattern work with 90 stitches? Or does it need to be an odd number? If so, how many stitches are you working with?

I worked it with 90 stitches. You only cast on 45 though.

and i worked the pattern as though each half were a separate piece. I placed markers and so I could keep track of each half. That way I didn't have to figure out how to alter the pattern for working in the round.

One more thing. I needed to do magic loop until I had enough stitches so that my needles could comfortably turn the corners.

I'm finisihed with the bottom of the bag. just need to do the garter and the handles!

I have tried starting this bag a couple times, but only manage to get a couple rows into it! The pattern just seems to be too fiddly for me to get a grasp on.

I finished my bag yesterday, but i think that it may be a bit taller than i want it to be. I just kept knitting until i realized i was running out of yarn. Then I split the yarn in half and knitted the handles until I seriously ran out.

i will post pics tonight when i get home.

Well, here she is. I couldnt think of what to load up into it, so it's a bunch of clothes. It'll definitely be large enough to hold some towels and clothes to take to the lake.
