rolled collar

I am knitting a sweater with a rolled collar.......it is to roll outward not inward. The instruction are to have to right side facing you and knit rounds. I have done this and the roll seems to be going toward the inside. Any advice? jnb [/b]

The only thing I can think is that maybe you are knitting on the inside edge rather than the outside. The knit stitches should show on the outside of the sweater and the purls will show inside.

When using circs you knit with loop away from you and the knitting part you are working on is close to your body.

The v's should be on the outside and the purl bumps on the inside, with the collar curling so that the purl bumps show on the outside of it. I think Jan may have hit the nail on the head that you're knitting on the inside.
