Cats and cows on their way to Hollywood. Guess they don't want YARN??

I bought the bamboo in Navy. I really wanted couple of other colors too, but 2500 yds is a lot of yarn, y'know? I'll probably make a tank top and a short sleeve summer top OR a full-sleeved summer cardigan.

I felt up some bamboo at the LYS the other day (different brand) and it was sooooft. I'm hoping this is too.
How does bamboo work up and wash up? Anyone tried it? Thanks!

Happy middle of the week!

Bamboo
Have a feather & fan shawl in progress out of Bamboo. Did a swatch before starting & washed it just to see how it would go.... it's so soft.

When I finally break down and order sock yarn online, that's where I'm going. CTH for $12 - yum!

I ordered some of the CTH mill end sock yarn. I'll let you all know how it is when it comes in!

I have the bamboo- in the dark teal color. I love it! I haven't washed it- still just casting on. but other bamboo I've used washes up nicely. (gentle, cool water, no dry blah blah blah) The yarn has a nice sheen and drape. I'm making more summer tops out of mine.

I have the bamboo in Sahara, Purple, Teal and Cobalt. I swapped out some with people on another board, so as not to have 2500 yads of each color, but 1250. See if anyone else here is ordering and co-ordinate to swap!
It is soft, but even softer after you wash and it has bloomed! Cant beat the price!
Oh, and I dont know what colors are left because I ordered a month ago, but the cobalt blue is my favorite of the colors!

Thanks for the bamboo feedback, guys. My order shipped yesterday and I can't wait to have it in my hands. And thanks for the swap idea too.

If anyone would want to swap 3 balls of the bamboo in Navy with me, let me know.. I like cobalt, sahara, brown, and bougainvillea.

My order arrived!
Here are some pictures of the haul.

The bag of bamboo in color Navy along with the free pattern and the bamboo needles I got. I went out of my usual color zone and I'm happy I did.

Close-up shot of the bamboo - it feels incredible.

Plymouth Sockotta in color Spotted Fawn

This'll keep me busy for a while
