Fair Isle instead of Duplicate Stitch?
I'm knitting this pattern, and I was wondering if it would work if I used Fair Isle instead of the duplicate stitch technique, because I don't have a tapestry needle. Reply quickly, because I'm knitting them for my cousin for when she graduates to high school.[/url]

You could, but they probably embroidered because the back looks better. If you strand it or do intarsia on it, the back will look a bit messy with the letters backwards.

Maybe you can make 2 and sew them together?

I'm thinking of double-knitting. Does that sound okay?

Your letters will still be backwards on the back, though.

Oh, darn. I'll just make 2 and sew them together, then, I guess.
