everytime i find a vintage argyle sweater pattern on ebay, i get outbid! sooooo, maybe there's one online or a kind knitter knows of one?

There are some great (vintage) argyle sweater patterns here, though you do have to pay for them. (You can find the argyle sweaters if you go to "Multicolored Jumpers and Cardigans" and then go to "Argyll", not sure why they spelled that wrong.)
