Yay! Thank you both for joining our shawl project!

You probably already know, but we use NICE light worsted, or DK/sportweight yarn for our shawls. We like to use yarns that a knitter would appreciate, since we give our shawls to knitters here in the forum that need our encouragement.

If your budget is tight, let me know, and I'll be glad to share a skein of my yarn for you to use.

We each usually knit twice on the shawl, so there is a nice pattern to the shawl.

lissaplus2, I've added you to the "Pink Passion" shawl.
farmgirl, you're on the "Purple Paradise" shawl.

I'll let you both know when they are ready to come your way. Be sure to watch for new private messages here in the forum!

I've decided to wait until after the holidays to start any more shawls. So, keep working on your other knitting projects until then, and we'll get fired up again at the start of 2009.

Thanks so much!

I have received "Rainy Day" and "Angel Wings".
Thanks pinnut and Abbily!

(I actually received "Rainy Day" a while back, but am just now posting.)

Abbily sent a wonderful bag of tea. I am looking forward to trying it this winter!

Abbily is still working on "Blossoms of Joy", and there are two knitters after her. So, be sure to keep watching the discussion, kellee0302 and threesmom!

Just to let you all know....I'll be BUSY with church music through the end of the year. So, I might be away from the forum a couple days at a time. But, I'll check at least 3 times a week.
Have a happy holiday everyone!

Blossoms of Joy
I received Blossoms of Joy on Wednesday. It was hanging from the mailbox in a plastic bag when I came home from work. Thank you Ms. Postlady for protecting my project. I will try to start working on it this weekend. Just wanted you to all know it was safe and sound.

Oh no! I'm glad it's OK, but holy cow! I wonder what happened to it? Did you get the other stuff in the package too? There's the journal, and I put in a ball of yarn for you, too.

Thanks Kelly! I'm checking on the next knitter right now.

This past weekend, I finished adding fringe to one of our older shawls. The "Candy Shop" shawl. I hate to say it, but it didn't turn out that well. The colors just don't work, in my opinion. But, a very young person might like it. So, we'll have to keep our eyes and ears peeled for a young person that needs our encouragement.

Here's the "Candy Shop" shawl.
Maybe we should rename it the "Pueblo Shawl" or something.

I actually think it's kind of neat looking. It has a lot of up beat colors in it.

That's great to hear, Kelly!
I'm glad that someone will like it. We'll save it for the right person.
