I finished up my section on Blossoms of Joy! I'll get pics up tomorrow.

I'm thinking of putting in a small order for some new yarns and wanted to be sure I'm prepared for some of the newer shawls - are we still knitting them all in dk or light worsted weight?

That's the plan, Beth. But, I'm okay if we occasionally have a section that is knit with worsted weight. As long as it doesn't stick out too bad from the rest of the shawl, it's fine with me. I think it's nice to see different textures and colors in the shawls.

I'll be casting on a couple shawls this week.

By the way, you can send "Blossoms of Joy" my way. Let me know if you need my address again.

While I've been sick with the flu, I went ahead and started all four of our new shawls. As soon as I feel better, I'll take them to the post office. Is everyone ready for the shawls to come their way? (pinnut3200, MGM, farmgirl, lissaplus2)

I got "Blossoms of Joy"! I haven't taken a photo of yet, since I'm sick. But, I did get a shot of the yarn and tea you gave me. Thanks so much!

Glad it arrived safely - and I hope you're feeling better soon! We all got the flu here too - despite getting the flu shot this year!

Bummer! You'd think that the shot would help.

I only got a flu shot once, and had the worst flu of my life that year.

I'm FINALLY feeling better now...with no flu symptoms anymore. THANK GOD!!!

I'll be mailing out three of the shawls I started tomorrow or Monday at the latest. I haven't heard back from lissaplus2, so I'll hold onto the pink shawl for a while longer.

I will be away this weekend. My hubby and I are going to the mountains for a few days for some "bonding time".

I should be back on Monday.

Hello, Oddball Shawl Knitters!

I know that you are all wondering where your packages are. I haven't mailed the shawls out yet, because I couldn't afford to.

That flu made me miss two weeks of teaching...and when I don't teach, I don't make money. So, we're FINALLY getting out of the hole we were in last month.

I plan on taking your packages to the post office today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled!

In other news, I've been working on finishing up our shawls that were already started. Here's the "Flower Garden" shawl, and the "Magic" shawl!
