I've been looking all over and I can't look any more!!!
I am thinking of making the flapper socksfor my nieces for Christmas. Does anyone know of self-striping yarn in Christmas colors?

Thanks!

lol PM Rebecca (on this site) and ask her what she used. or Email her off the blog. She is the designer of the pattern so she can probably help you find some!

Hey! I'm sorry I didn't see your post, Bren pm'd me! First of all, I'm all flattered and honored that you like the design
As for self striping Christmas yarn, that may require some looking, which I will be happy to do. I used a discontinued handpainted merino from KnitPicks that I had on hand. And, you don't have to have self striping, just my opinion...I think that they would be cute in a solid color or a variegated with reds or greens....I just ran across these at the knitter, solid red, green, and variegated that looks like it might be Christmas colors. Then you could dye your own! I know that DivaKnitting does some dyeing of sock yarn, you could ask her if she planned on any Christmas color dyeing in the future!
You could easily have green or red flaps with the rest of the sock being the opposite color....me, had I not had the yarn on hand, I was going to get red or green and put bells on the flaps for my Christmas socks, but, I happened to have it on hand!
If you have your heart set on red/green striped sock yarn we will have to continue looking....or, you might just have to do some dyeing...sorry about that. But, as I said, I'll be on the lookout!
And, thank you many times over for your interest in the pattern
