Cable Cast-On
So, I have noticed that when people do a cable cast on, some twist the stitch before putting it on the needle and others do not. Which is the correct method, if there is one. THANX!

Check the basic techniques tab at the top of the forum for a video on how to do it properly.

My take though is as long as you're consistent it's no big deal most of the time.

Like Jan said, as long as you're consistant, it doesn't matter, but I've found that if you twist the stitch, you get a firmer edge than if you don't.

I believe one way is a purl and the other is a knit. I could be wrong but I think someone told me that.
