HELP with PATTERN - LACE SHAWL
Hi -

I just bought this pattern and want to make it for a few weddings I will be attending in May - don't even ask what took me so long to decide since May is next week. Anyways, I am attaching the pattern and if anyone can help me with the following instruction "Repeat rows 7 - 12 . Form of each row is selvedge *, lace pattern, *selvedge."

I would REALLY appreciate it. I was thinking I need to write down each row and then knit it and I have practiced the stitches. I think row 13 would be like this:

sl1, m1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1

row 7 is: sl1, m1, k2tog*, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1,yo, *ssk, k1.

Please let me know if you agree or if you have any hints for me. I have been knitting for about 5 years and this is the first thing I am making myself so I really want to do a good job! I am having a difficult time uploading the instructions so if you think you can help me, please let me know and I can try emailing the pattern.

Thanks In Advance.

The sl1 at the beginning of the row and k1 at the end are what they mean by the selvedge stitches. Selvedge = edge. The lace pattern is the stitches in between them.

Ok - thanks. That is what I thought. Do you think my row 13 looks correct - i think row 13 is the same as row 7 but repeating between the *s.

Again, yes, they're the same except for the number of stitches.
