Unintentionally Changed Gauge on Squares Afghan
I have been knitting a garter stitch log cabin afghan off an on for about a year now and have about 1/2 of the squares completed. When I finished my 22nd square last night I added it to my growing pile to discover that it was noticeably larger than the rest of my squares. It 2-3 garter stitch rows wider and longer. I have pulled out a ruler and old squares vs new measures as follows:
Old: 7 5/8"
New: 8 2/8"
How concerned should I be about this? How much of a problem will this be when I join the 40 plus squares?
And what should I do about knitting the remaining squares? Should I change needles, intentionally hold the yarn a bit tighter, or just carry on (w/the presumption that 1/2 of my squares will be a little looser/larger than the ones I knit as a beginner)?
Thanks for your help.
