Gauge help
Hello all! I am having a problem that unfortunately keeps recurring. When I do my gauge, the measurement is correct regarding the width of my swatch (# of stitches), but it's always a little shorter than it is supposed to be in length. I am knitting the correct number of rows that it says to knit and can't figure out the problem. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Row gauge is really hard to get and for nearly all patterns stitch gauge is more important anyway. Also, when you do a swatch, CO more stitches than you need for the 4" gauge; the edge stitches aren't always the same size as the middle ones.

Thank you, Sue! Doing nothing sounds like an easy enough fix to me. I never thought about the edge stitches being different from the middle ones either. Good advice!
