Pattern Help
I'm knitting a cardigan sweater for a baby. I've knitted the left and right front and have picked up 34 stitches along the right front and knit 2 rows of 2x2 rib for the right front border. The pattern reads: Next row Rib 2, cast off 1 stitch, (rib 7, cast off 1 stitch) 3 times, rib 3. Nothing I've tried comes out to equal the 34 stitches on the needle. This is a pattern from the United Kingdom and I've just never come across this before.

If you read the 'cast off one stitch' as knit 2 and pass the first stitch over the second, then you should come up with using the 34.

rib 2, use 2 for cast off, (rib 7, use 2)3 times, rib 3.

2+2+27+3=34
