baby bolero questions...and suggestions wanted!!
Hi all,

I just got the cutest dress for my daughter for the spring (we have 2 weddings to attend) but it is a tank dress...fine for the wedding in june, but the wedding in 2 weeks...brrrr...

so i want to knit a little bolero or shrug for her. something cute but that stays on. I'd prefer to use cotton if possible and don't mind small needles toooo much.

I found one pattern for a bolero but the back is just a big square and the fronts have only shaping at the opening... no armhole shaping is this normal for a bolero pattern? I am worried that it won't hang well.

Anyways, my daughter is 15 months and is in a 12-18 month size.

If any of you have pattern suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks so much in advance!!!

Cara

Cara, there is the cutest shrug pattern located at

http://explaiknit.typepad.com/HugMe.pdf

For whatever reason, I can't get the file to come up; maybe the site is down temporarily?

Anyway, here is a small thumbnail picture I was able to get of it. It says it's for preschool age girls, but you might be able to adjust it to fit your daughter. Good luck!

Hi,

thanks for the suggestion, that is really cute.

anyone have any ideas on the shaping of the pattern I have? Does it seem a little too simple to actually fit well?
