newbie knitter - need help reading pattern
I am knitting "dotty dog" from Knitted Toys by Zoe Mellor. I just did a purl row of 11 stitches and here are the next instructions:

19th-20th rows Cast on 10 sts, work to end. Place marker at end of each row. (31 sts)

So do I continue in the same direction as the purl and add 10 stitches using cable cast on? Then just knit back and add 10 stitches on the other side in the same way in order to have a total of 31 stitches?

Thanks for any help you can give me!!

I don't have the pattern, but that sounds right.
