My aunt gave me her old knitting machine, if it helps it's a brother kh230, and I'd love to make a simple stockinette st. blanket for the baby due in Dec. and she doesn't have the garter attachment with it so I cannot figure how to do a garter border, and then the other thing is that when you c.o. there has to be some way to keep it from unraveling once you take the weight bar off...does anyone have any ideas to help me, I've played with it for over 4 hours today! My final delema is that since it's all in st. st. could I crochet a border around it to keep it from curling or would it be better to knit a border around it??? please help and thanks in advance.
