Wool of the Andes.
How soft is it against the skin? I'm going to be making the Interweave Knits "Greek Pullover" with it.

It's a very soft yarn, but it tends to pill while you knit it. After it's first washing, it doesn't pill. It will be a good yarn for that sweater.

It's good for felting, but it pills like crazy and isn't particularly soft. I wouldn't knit a garment with it.

Hmmm, mine seems soft, and it doesn't pill very much. Sorry if I misguided anybody.

Here's where I originally found out about the pilling problem.

Amy's Sweater is pilling!

Actually, mine is a little fuzzy, but it hasn't actually pilled yet.

There are so many softer yarns out there, I don't think I'd use WOTA for a sweater.

I agree with Ingrid, it's a good all-purpose yarn, but not the best out there.

I don't know what pilling is. :(

Darn it all to heck, I wanted a nice soft, cozy sweater! The yarn is already on its way. :(

Pilling is when you you get little balls of lint where the sweater rubs against itself or other things. They can be shaved off--it's not the end of the world.

You be the judge if you think the WOTA is what you'd hoped. Lots of people use it--maybe we're picky.

If you decide that you don't want it for a sweater, it does felt beautifully.
