i don't know how to do them on circular's at the same time - but the way I did my last pair was to have two sets of dpn's and knit the toe of one sock , the toe of the next, the foot of one, the foot of the other etc ... this means that when the first sock is finished you only one part of the 2nd sock to do - either leg or toe depending on whether you started toe up or top down ....

iI did he same thing, but instead of dpns, I used 2 long circs of the same size, one for each sock, and used the ML method. I'm sure the actual it takes is no longer than doing 1 at a time, but when you're done, YOU'RE DONE.
Also, if you have a problem with one area, once you figure it out, you probably won't forget before you get to the same area on sock # 2.

It's called 2 socks on 2 circs, or Magic Loop, searching those names should get you results and try the videos here.

There is a class for just that right here.
I've always knit socks in tandem, even when I knit with dpns, would have a sock on each set of dpns. I'm a 2 circ socknitter now, but I don't like to knit 2 socks on 2 circs, so I have each sock going with its own 2 circs Just works perfectly for me
The class that I linked is very helpful, I used it when I gave knitting 2 socks on 2 circs a try, it's very detailed...have fun!
