FO: The First Socks
Well, I didn't think when I started knitting that socks would interest me. After all, you work hard on an item and it ends up on someone's smelly feet! And they wear out!

But you know what? They're fun to do! So anyone who hasn't tried knitting socks, stop whatever it is you're working on and knit a pair

I used some self striping yarn I found while on vacation in Vancouver BC, at Burnaby Knits. (The brand was Clown).

No pattern, just browsing through dozens of sock patterns on the net and put together my own hybrid sock instructions, whatever it was that I could understand easily.

After going through the exercise, its much easier than it looked before I tried

On to the next pair...

Those are great! I just started knitting socks and I love them! I managed to finish one toddler sized sock today, start to finish, and it feels so awesome to finish something so quickly (can you tell I'm a n00b?).

First of all, that yarn is gorgeous!

Secondly, I can't believe that this is your FIRST pair! I wish my first pair had looked as good!

Wow!

Those look great--I love the color combo! Aren't socks fun? I'm wearing my own right now, and they are so cozy.
