Ruffle For Wristlets
I'm knitting some wristlets for my daughter in K2, P2 ribbing and I wanted to put a ruffle along the top, finger area. I figured it would be easy to do with a crochet hook but can't for the life of me remember how to do a ruffle. UGH!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Blessings,
Leslie

patterning single and double crochet around could do it... spacing out the stitches, maybe with a ch1 between. adding ch1 or ch2 and skipping would make it lacier. doing just the scr, dcr, around would be more solid. you might have to experiment to see what you like.

you could also do double increases around then knit out a couple rows for a ruffle effect. That might be harder to do to match the ribbing pattern.

this is *dcr1 ch2 skip 1* repeat around

this is double crochet all the way around. both cloths (no extra ch, no skipping stiches)

hope that helps
(the handcloths are teacher gifts)

If you do three or four sts into each st it'll create a ruffle. IOW if you have 45 sts on the side you want the ruffle, do two or three double crochets in each of those 45 sts.
