older circular needle Q
so i am sitting here knitting with my #6US circs, and i notices both tips have a little hole (all the way through) anyone know why? or what it could be for? hmmmm....not sure the brand as i won these through ebay, but i have a similar circ and it's an older dritz circ. TIA

where is the hole? the first thing that popped in my head is the hole that interchangeable needles have for the tightening key.

I think you can use that hole to knit in a life line as you go.

the hole is on the tip, and its not an interchangable, it has a metal cable though. the hole is very small, threading an actual thread might be possible, but difficult. hmmmm......
