cropped cardigan

I am not done my present project but am already planning my next. Has anyone made the Cropped Cardigan by BlueSKy Alpacas? What yarn did you use?I really don't want to double strand so am looking for a heavy yarn that works out to the same gauge as the suggested yarn double stranded. I also would like it a weight to wear now but don't know if that is possible. I love Blue Sky's cotton. Would that work single stranded?

That's a cute pattern. It looks like the gauge on that is 14 stitches over 4 inches.....I think that the Blue sky Cotton might be able to get that gauge, but it would be a very loose, airy fabric. Can you get a hank and try a swatch?

Cindy, where is that pattern? I don't see a link. I'm looking for a simple cardigan for some cotton I just bought.

Thanks Cindy. That's a great pattern, wish I would have had it before I got so far on what I'm working on (similar).
