I realize that my voice all by itself has no bearing, yet I vote to eliminate the rating system now before it hurts someone irreparably. I am appalled.
I'm not sure I understand the complaint? I don't think I've actually used the ratings system, but if "1" is an option to choose, then how can rating something a "1" be wrong? I don't necessarily support the ratings system, I don't even know where to look to see what rating something has. But isn't everyone entitled to their opinion?

I am unaware of any rating system myself. Maybe you can explain further? I like the new "thanks" button, it keeps us from having to post a message just to say thank you for a link or a helpful hint or something.

That's a new theme that is under development and not quite ready for primetime. It shouldn't have been appearing as a choice. Hopefully it's gone now.

Sheldon, here's a new bug I noticed. The Quick Reply box is large when the thread loads, but as soon as I activate it, the box shrinks to half the size. It shrinks <-----width-wise----->

I hope I'm not doing a repeat of a question, Sheldon, but how have all those ads gotten on the General Forum page?? I haven't seen them so much today, but yesterday there all sorts of off- type ads having to do with everything BUT knitting and us!!

Thanks for all you're doing!

I don't see any ads now, Trudy. If the ads you are referring to are posted ads/spam we get to them as soon as we see them. Sometimes those spammers are fast!

Thanks Jan--I don't see them today, but sometime when I checked in (it could have been last night very very early in the am when nobody else in their right mind was awake and I was feeding my 3-month old granddaughter and loving every minute of it), there were scads of them in the General forum. I had never seen them and I wondered how they got there--didn't know it had always been a problem, cause the Mods have been so quick! Yay for all ya'll !!

Sorry I said anything! Youall do a wonderful job!

I am not seeing them as well. The only ads that should appear on KH forum are yarn store graphical ads at the top of the page and Google text-based ads that appear along the bottom of the page. Let me know where the irrelevant ads are appearing.

Thanks!
