Hi Samsam. We are full of knitters right now, but if you send me your name and mailing address, I'll add you to the "pinch knitters" list. Our pinch knitters fill in when one of our knitters has to back out from knitting. Right now, I've used up all our pinch knitters, so I could definitely use you!

Also, when I start a new blanket, all pinch knitters are automatically added to the list.

Sadly, two of our Oddball Blankets have been eaten by the post office.

The first one was sent to the Netherlands, but never made it back. (She was the 2nd knitter, so the blanket had not really grown that much.)

The second one lost was our 4th blanket. This one had 5 knitted portions, so it wasn't big yet, but still some time had been invested in it.

So, I guess we should each mail our packages First Class or Priority Mail, so we can add 65 cents for Delivery Confirmation. That will help a bit with keeping tabs on the blankets. Plus, we will be able to search for them in the postal system that way.

If you use a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box, the rates are not that bad.

You can also write "HANDLE WITH CARE" on the package, if you want.

That is sad. And, a good idea about mailing, Shandeh.

Yeah. It's a drag. But, we're moving on, keeping our eyes on the prize.

Poor auburnchick....I started our blanket over on July 13th.

Jhelanee is working on it now.
Jhelanee, are you finished working on it yet, my friend?

Here's a photo of our new blanket so far, with just my little bit of knitting on it.

That is extremely sad..if I may say so as an 'outsider'. I find it difficult to believe two blankets bit the dust if they were sent and addressed properly. I agree that paying a little more for secure postage is important. I trust that people know that if they have not been able to complete the task, that it's better to say so than say they've posted. I DON'T mean to be insulting as I have NO idea here who had the blankets but I know that sometimes my friends have promised something was sent and yet it was sitting in their living room or lost or accidentally thrown out and they were too afraid to say so. Please forgive me if I've said the wrong thing. :(
