We are almost full of knitters for our new Oddball Blanket!

There is only room for 3 more knitters.

I cast on the 300 stitches tonight, using a size 8 circular needle, 29 inches long. I'm using some Lion Brand Wool-Ease I had in my stash. I remember buying this yarn in a small plastic bag at a thrift store for 60 cents total! It is certainly being put to good use now!

The color of the yarn is "Mink Brown", and it has a "tweedy" effect.

I wanted to let you know since you need the info, that my house is non-smoking and I do have a cat, although all yarn is stored in a closet where he can't access it. Hopefully that keeps it relatively dander-free! I do not have any allergies.

Can't wait to find out my place in line!

I knit for about half an inch last night, so it's definitely a decent start. I'll only knit a total of 1 1/2 inches at the beginning, because I'll add the other inch and a half when the blanket is finished. It's my way of bringing "closure" to each blanket. I start and end them all. (Hey....I'm entitled....the whole "Oddball Blanket" thing is my idea, after all!)

I gotta tell you....it's SO COOL to see these blankets all growing. And to think it was just a simple idea I had one day.

Wonders never cease.
