I knitted this ensemble from various patterns in Caron Simply soft.
The peplum tank top was found on this web site , the booties are my own design a take off from a pattern found on a booklet titled Leisure arts chic knits for baby.
I changed the booties' pattern by knitting the entire thing in the round without breaking the yarn making a seamless bootie that would be more comfortable for a young baby. Also I added shaping to help the bootie stay on longer (I am not saying forever now...)
As for the little soaker, I found this pattern on the internet. it is commonly called "american style" soaker. knitted in one piece in circular needles and then back and forth for the decrease. The next to last step is a kitchener stitch to weave the live ends together. A simple crochet edging was used for the leg holes. I tried to knit in the round, but that made the leg holes way too tight.
The entire outfit was made with Caron Simply Soft. A little more than one skein.
This outfit is for a very small newborn baby christening.. may she have a long life on a peaceful planet.
