Dishcloth help
When the pattern says to "slip 1 purlwise", do you move the yarn from the back to the front (as if to actually purl), slip the sts purlwise then move the yarn to the back again?

Or do you leave the yarn in the back when you "slip 1 purlwise" unless otherwise stated?

Also, when it ways to "yarn forward" or "yarn backward" do you actually do just that? Not yarn over?

Thanks.

When you slip as if to purl, just leave the yarn where it is unless you're told to move it.

Yarn forward and yarn back is just that. Sometimes it's supposed to result in a yo, but other times it's not. Just put it where they say and go on to the next step.

I'm working on a purse with those same directions and I was bringing the yarn forward to slip it purlwise. It wasn't looking at the same so I tried it with leaving the yarn in the back. Now it looks right so you DO leave the yarn in the back and just slip in on the needle as if you were to purl unless it specifically says to move it.
