Sock Foot Length.
Hi.How long should a sock foot length be before the toe?.When do you stop the foot length of a sock before the toe?. I did the size small foot length 14''inches before the toe and i then did the toe and tried it on and toe was to big and some of the foot was too.

Well too a small extent, it depends on the manner at which you decrease your toe section. Slight variations exist from pattern to pattern that use more or less rows.

But as a general rule, I'm told you should start your decreases about 2 inches to 1 1/2 away from your big toe. That should usually do the trick.

14 inches? That's a really big foot! I wear a size 8.5 and I knit my socks 7" before the toe.

Or did you mean 4 inches?
