Reading patterns
Ok, this is a stupid question.

Say you've got a pattern that gets to row one of decreases and it tells you

Row 1 k3 k2tog knit to last 5 ssk k3

Then repeat this 15 more times.

How many decrease rows am I supposed to work?
Only 15, or 15 +1?

I think that when it says "do these instructions, then repeat them 15 more times"
that means: do it once, then 15 more times, so 16 times total.

However if it just says "repeat these instructions 15 times", then I wouldn't be sure...

Sometimes you can figure it out if it gives the number of stitches you should have after all repeats.

That's what I feared.

I've been working on a raglan for a while and it just hit me that the instructions say "more". Oh dear.

Well.....it'll be small enough to fit my sister hehehehehehehehehehe. And a learning experience for me :D

You do the row 16 times total. You only decrease 2 sts each row.

I think if you're only off by one decrease row, you might be okay, no? unless one repeat had many rows of course... How far back would you have to go to fix this?

I feel with you!

Way far hehe. I've got the back, fronts and I'm halfways the first sleeve. It's what happens when I try to knit and listen to report at work at the same time hehe.

I'm a loose knitter and Caron SS is supposed to loosen up after a wash or two, so I might still be able to end up with something wearable. Thanks for your help ^^
