Scalloped ribbing?

I have a hat similar to this and was wondering how they do this ribbing. Any ideas?

You would do a picot edge with a scallop, then start the ribbing. I think.

I dunno. Combine a scallop with a picot stitch...? That's just what it looks like, doesn't mean I know how to do it.... lol

Hi,

I am not sure, but on the five hour quickie baby sweater, a picot type edge is made at the hem of the sweater by turning the garter edge up as a hem. Also, I just found the following site that may explain how to do the edge for other items:

Hmmmm, now that with the ribbing done after you the eyelet row could produce a similar edge. In the photo, it looks sort of scalloped...

I own a hat from the same company and it is not turned like a traditional picot hem.

The rib is just rib.
