V-neck cardi question

Hello! I'm wanting to knit tahoe from spring 07 knitty, http://http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsp...PATTtahoe.html but the v-neck is deeper than I want for how I want to use it. I know there is a way to adjust for this, but I'm not sure how. Do I start the decreases for the v-neck later than the pattern calls for - if it's bottoms up? and if so, does this effect any of the other numbers? The numbers scare me! It reminds me of math class!

Yes, if you want the neckline higher, start the decreases for it a few row later on, at or after you've started the armhole shaping. You will probably end up with more stitches for your size, but they'll be on the neck edge and you maybe can fudge a couple extra decreases in there when you do the neck shaping.
