Cotton Jersey yarn?
I came across a bathmat in a library book that calls for cotton jersey strips. I've never seen this before so my question is - is this a type of "yarn" or something one has to go to the fabric store to buy and cut yourself?

i'm going to take a guess and say that they meant strips of a cotton tee shirt type of material, or jersey material like they make some kinds of sheets out of. i'm pretty sure they didn't mean yarn.

I think bellium is right- I'm pretty sure it is like the pot holder loops- but not loops. just looooong strips of t-shirt like material. you can spiral cut a big t shirt into one or 2 long strips if you are patient. they might be under rag rug yarn too. I'll try to remember where I was reading about it. might of been the mason-dixon book...

Thanks! I was thinking a super cheap jersey sheet might work, but whether it's worth the extra work involved is another matter.
