hi

I was watching some videos on purl stitch and this lady does her purls different. Now I'm confused is this also a correct way of knitting your purls?

( THE PURL VIDEO is to the right hand side) Cheers all.

There may certainly be different ways to purl, but I don't do my purls that way - I use the front of the stitch instead of the back.

She appears to be purling through the back loop which would twist the stitches. Check the videos here for the "normal" way to do it. Normal being how most people do it..that doesn't mean that the other way is wrong...it's just different.

I can't believe they're show that as the proper way to purl. She is very clearly twisting the stitches by purling through the back leg of the stitch.

Goes to show you that you should stick with Knittinghelp.com for all your video knitting needs.

She's purling through the back loop--not the way to purl normally.
