Using the posts - how do I?
I am a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. I posted a hello last night (p. 217) and included in it a question about T2R and T2L. There are so many choices. If I can follow a knitting pattern, I should be able to figure this out. However...
Can anyone make this simple for me?

It might be better to post your question in the 'how to' section. that way it'll get the brainy knitters looking at. The brainy knitters look after us newbies I'm sure they will sort your problem out.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. I saw your intro post (welcome to KH by the way) and your question regarding cabling was answered.

Just go to your post and click on it and you can read the replies.

If you posted in the Welcome thread it probably won't be seen normally although I see that it was answered.

Do you have a specific question regarding a pattern? If so then post it in the "How-to-Questions" forum so it'll get seen better. When you post it be sure to link to a pattern if you can and be specific about what you need so we can help.

Welcome to the forum!
