thigh openings too small (pattern help)
I made my first soaker (if you can call it that) lol based off this pattern:
http://community.livejournal.com/pun...89.html?page=2

and this is what I did:

I didn't realize until it was too late that I only put 12 stitches on a stitch holder (verse the 17 I was supposed to). Do you think that is why the leg openings are small? They look about 7" and I need it to be at least 10". do you think it was the way I decreased maybe ( I did 1st kn, sskn, kn until the end then the third and second to last stitches on the row I k2tog, then kn the last one).

1) Is there anyway to modify this pattern to get large leg openings
2)OR was it not enough stitches on the holder
3)OR the way I decreased?

Thanks so much! I just started knitting if you can't tell

Not enough stitches on the holder; 12 sts is for the newborn size, while you appear to be knitting the 6-12 mo size.
