My Dad to the rescue.
I went to Michaels yesterday to look for US 4 dpn for my baby bib/burp cloth project. They didn't have any and I don't have time to wait for an order. So I purchased bamboo size 4 straights and my dad snipped the caps off and made me a set of 2 size 4 dpns! His hobby is making furniture for the family (all the grandkids have a bedroom suit) and refinishing furniture for others. Afterwards he said they were still too rough and suggested using wax paper on them. I just my Dad.
Knitting is my yoga!

That's really sweet! My DH made me some, too!

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.

What a great idea. My DH is a woodworker and I need some 13 DPN's and have plenty of straight 13's. I am going to have him make me a set.

Thanks for the tip.
