Yarn Amounts - a "size" question!
Hi guys,

I was attempting to de-stash and make a father's day gift at the same time by knitting a wine bottle cozy. About how big in diameter would a 50g center pull ball of worsted weight yarn be? I have some stash leavings from other projects and if y'all can give me an estimate I would greatly appreciate it. That way I'll know if I have to buy more yarn or if I can truly reduce the stash. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking- I'm looking at a label for a 50g ball of worsted weigh wool that says 120 yards. I think most 50g balls of that weight I've seen are between 100 and 150 yards. But I'm no expert-

Is that what you meant? or did you mean how big a cozy would it make? that would depend on the pattern, the needles, the stitch, the gauge and whether you felt it.....
did I say one project at a time?

I think she means if you wound a 50g skein into a ball how big across would it be? Depends if you wind it tight or loose I suppose. And I think about 4". Maybe.
