HELP with DIY baby hat pattern!
I'm knitting the "suede" baby hat on the DIY Knitty Gritty site and the pattern is annoyingly lacking in finishing details. Things like "seam it" and "attach the earflaps", but I can obviously figure that out.

However, the picture of it shows a super cute flap or something on the front of the hat that's worked in the "Plush" yarn...and I don't see directions for that in the pattern.

Am I just totally overlooking these details in the pattern and not realizing? Has anyone made this and figured it out?

Thanks!

(it's a super-cute hat regardless, so are the matching booties!)
