OT - Blogger Q
Does anyone know how to add 'button' links into your blogger blog?? For example if I wanted to link to the Pointy Sticks podcast on my blog, using the little "Link It" button that she has on the page, how would I do it??

Thanks for the help!! I know there's html people out there!!

I think it's in the layout section, add page element and you would add HTML/JavaScript or the Logo option.

I don't think you even need to know the html. Just the link and img to add it if you go to the layout section.

Thanks, both of you, but I must be blind or something cause I just don't know how to do it. Could someone give me more step by step instructions, please?

In your blogger template section...

Your going to go to wherever you put YOUR links...

And do this..

<a href=" SITE LINK HERE "><img src=" PICTURE IMAGE LINK HERE "></a>

But remove the spaces.

Does that make sense? You should probably save the button to your computer, then upload it to your host. And use the link of your host, like PhotoBucket give you.

OK, let's see if I can help.

Go to the "Dashboard" section of your blog and click on "Layout." On the right hand side, there should be an "Add an Element" button. If you click on that, you should be able to add a link. There's also another "Add an Element" spot at the bottom of your layout page, and you could add your links there.

Hope that helps!

Okay, so I tried to do this and it sort of worked, but not totally. I got the picture up BUT the link part links to http://kidsandknit.blogspot.com/www.pointysticks.org which is my blog address plus the web address that I wanted to link to.

What I typed in exactly was this:

<a href=" www.pointysticks.org "><img src=" http://static.flickr.com/48/143161757_2f8c92fb1b_o.jpg "></a> (without the spaces, of course)

So why isn't it working??

Try this

<a href="http://www.pointysticks.org/ "><img src=" http://static.flickr.com/48/143161757_2f8c92fb1b_o.jpg ">

I stuck an "http://" in front of the link, that way Blogger won't think you're linking to a page on your blog.
