KH Fundraiser! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society / Chicago Triathlon

A good friend of ours, and a former KnittingHelp employee!, is participating in the 2007 Accenture Chicago Triathlon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Rebecca has to raise a minimum of $4,600 by June 26th to participate in the triathlon that she is currently training for!

Sheldon and I are supporting her, and I'd love to make this our first official KH Fundraiser. I know that we knitters are a generous bunch of people, and I'd love to see what we can do when we combine our efforts for a cause like this. Any amount is appreciated, no donation is too small. Rebecca worked for us in early 2005...we hired her just a month or two after launching KH! She did some wonderful design work for Sheldon, and some important work on the KH site. Here's a picture of Sheldon, myself, and Rebecca, in May 2005 right before she left us for an internship in Germany! She's an incredible, motivated person and athlete. Help us support her impressive fundraising effort for a good cause!

Hello KH!!!

Here I am ready to answer all your questions about my fundraising for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as I train for my first ever triathlon through their Team in Training Program.
.....And of course give you all the nitty-gritty dl on my experience of working at the KH headquarters with the infamous Amy and Sheldon!

Before my humor and sarcasm resurfaces, let me first off give a huge huge shout out to both Amy and Sheldon for their support in my endeavour and an equally big one out to the KH community. They're absolutely amazing people and I'm sure the community follows.

This organization and event is something very important to me and I cannot tell you how incredible of an experience it has been thus far.
