ty misha, but the hole they come and go from is only big enough for a small cat to fit thu. we tried the live trap when mamma was pregnant hoping to get her before she gave birth but I think she was on to us.
I did just go out there and little guy that won't come out is not stuck, all four paws moving, he went to the corner and moved, so that is good, but he still won't come out. I am hoping against hope that he is so spooked that he only comes out at 2 am when no one is out
give me a prayer, or a hope, or whatever you belive, that it all works out, I just want them all safe and healthy

Hope your little kitty comes out soon. I cannot imagine the anguish of knowing he is in there - I tend to try to move heaven and earth to help animals. My husband and I just took 3 tiny little kitties to the shelter (no kill) today. They came trotting across the yard so I penned them up hoping momma would come looking but 5 hours later no sign of her. We have so many ferrel and displaced house cats around here that I figure they are a ferrel litter. We have 2 dogs and I am allergic to cats to keeping them or feeding them is not an option.

Best of Luck

I really love you all and the support, hubby doesnt get it, "why are you posting kitty stuff to the knitting forum?"
but i know that with the nice serenity or somewhat peace besides ripping you all have a yen for animals.
If i didn't work in mental health I would be a vet. Normal "ish" people scare me. Everyone needs help with something irreregardeless of medication. Animals are the next best accepting thing of their needs and asking for help.
Keep the hopes and prayers coming, I think we need them!

Kitties under my porch UPDATE!
The gray one came out!!!Hubby actually was going to go by a crowbar to rip up the floor of the porch to get him today if he wasn't out!
On another note, the Minneapolis animal control will only try to save a cat if it is your PET, not strays. Dont' care about stuck strays. Sorry, "we don't want them to die but we can't do anything". something about no leash law for cats in the city. Nice to know my hard earned tax $ is going to pay someone to tell me to basically shove it
Now... on to corralling them...
BTW, I actually got to pick up and hold 2 of them. they are so freaking cute I want to keep them all. I KNEW I shouldn't have picked them up.
"oh, dh, I'm so tired tonight, could we try to grab them tomorrow..?"
aka: "one more day of cute kitties in my yard!"

Yay, he came out!
I don't think I'd have the will power to hold them and then let them go! We take alot of donation stuff to our local humane society and before we go in my husband and I always look at each other and say "don't make eye contact". I know if we touched any of them it would be all over.

I'm so glad it came out!! and that response from animal control is just so WRONG!!! maybe if they took CARE of strays, there wouldn't be so many..... (sigh)

I'm a total softie for animals- and like Stitchwitch, have a no cuddling no eye contact rule at the shelter- or we would take them All home.....

Yay! I'm glad he came out!
I can't believe your animal control won't come and help stray animals, sounds like they won't ever have their own show on Animal Planet. I just watched the Phoenix one the other night and they did everything they could to get a stray kitty out of a sewer pipe, (which they were successful at!).
Two of my cats are strays that appeared at my old house. One is a mama cat that after learning she could trust us, she brought her kittens to us. They were the cutest kittens. We took them to a local shelter but kept mama thinking she would be harder to adopt and she's been with us now for 10 years, I think. Our other kitty is from another litter that another mama cat brought to us. He was the cutest of the bunch and so we kept him. He's such a 'fraidy cat though, still acts like he's out in the wild and shies away from everyone and everything!

For all of you who have been so supportive, a pic of the gray kittie who oh so reluctantly let me pick him up and hold him (kinda forced myself on him/her)
reward pic!
