I did this one, and I think it was adorable. It's a simple pattern that I was able to do as my first project

The first washcloth I made was Grandmas Favorite Washcloth and this is the baby blanket version of that...

YO - Yarn Over (Wrap the yarn around the right needle)
K2TOG - Knit two stitches together
P2TOG - Purl two stitches together

Cast on 8 stitches
1. Knit 4, YO, knit to the end.
2. Knit 4, YO, Purl to the last 4, Knit 4.
3. Repeat the above 2 rows until the blanket is as wide as you would like it to be.
4. Knit 3, K2TOG, YO, K2TOG, knit to the end of the row.
5. Knit 3, K2TOG, YO, P2TOG, Purl to the last 4, Knit 4.
6. Repeat rows 4 and 5 until you have 8 stitches left on the needles.
7. Bind off and weave in the ends.

I've done this one:

I'm planning on doing another one, but doing the body in stockinette instead of garter (but keeping the garter edge).
