mixing yarns

hey i just have a quick question...i recently purchased some pink wool yarn for a baby blanket that i'm going to be making soon, but then i realized that i didnt have enough so i started looking for some pretty yarn to match. much to my dismay i cant find any wool yarn that i like, so im wondering if it would be ok to mix a different sort of yarn with the wool. im currently looking at some really pretty chenile yarn but i dont know if it will turn out ok. if i can mix other yarns with wool, whats the best kind? any suggestions would be sooo helpful! thanks!
